The Mahomes family added a new member to its roster over the weekend. On Sunday, Patrick Mahomes' wife Brittany gave birth to the couple's third child, daughter Golden Raye. They broke the news on Instagram on Monday with a post that revealed her name and birthdate.
Patrick and Brittany became parents for the first time in February 2021 after the birth of their daughter, Sterling Skye. Their second child, son Patrick "Bronze" Mahomes, was born in November 2022 and just over two years later, they welcomed their third child.
The Kansas City Chiefs superstar's mother, Randi Mahomes, was overjoyed and celebrated Golden Raye's birth by sharing the couple's post on her Instagram story with the caption:

Patrick Mahomes promised wife Brittany No. 1 seed as baby's due date neared
The timing couldn't have been more perfect for Patrick Mahomes' wife Brittany to deliver the couple's third child. The Kansas City Chiefs are one of the two playoff teams alongside the Detroit Lions that weren't in action this weekend. They had a bye after finishing the regular season as the No. 1 seed in the AFC and NFC, respectively.
The quarterback knew his wife was due to deliver this week and wanted to ensure he wasn't busy playing. Mahomes promised her he would be present during delivery, and the only way to ensure that was if the Chiefs secured the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
Mahomes and his team secured the first-round bye with a week to spare following their 29-10 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Mahomes had one of his best games of the season, finishing with 320 passing yards and three touchdown passes.
The quarterback will be looking to win his fourth Super Bowl ring and help the Chiefs become the first team to win three Super Bowls in a row.
