Patrick Mahomes Sr. served another warning in run-in with Texas cops five months after DWI arrest: Report

Patrick Mahomes' father Pat Mahomes Sr. was busted on a DWI charge a week before Super Bowl 2024 in what capped off a roller-coaster month for the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback.

Now, it appears Pat Mahomes Sr had another run-in with the law in Texas last month.

TMZ reports that Mahomes' father was busted last month in Texas for driving without a valid license. Documents obtained by TMZ indicate that he was asked to pull over for a routine traffic violation and was initially given a warning for disregarding traffic signs.

In any case, per TMZ, Pat Mahomes Sr will have to appear before a judge "on or before July 31" to settle the matter. His DWI case is also slated for July 22.

According to KCTV5, a plea deal was also discussed over Mahomes' father's February 3 arrest. The plea deal would include 10 years of probation, though the publication reported that the DA was open to lowering that number. Given that this was not his first arrest, the trial could potentially go sideways for the Mahomes family.

Per the Daily Mail, Randi Mahomes said the Mahomes clan was dealing with the arrest by "sticking together as a family."

In a separate pre-Super Bowl interview with reporters, Patrick Mahomes refused to go into too many details on his father's DWI arrest. The 3x Super Bowl champion told reporters:

“He’s doing good. I don’t really want to get into it too much but he’s doing good for whatever the situation is. It’s a family matter so I will just keep it to the family. That’s all I really have to say at this point.”

Earlier in October in a post-game interview with Ryan Fitzpatrick and Richard Sherman, the Chiefs superstar highlighted Pat Mahomes Sr's approach to life.
