Patrick Mahomes and wife Brittany announce the arrival of baby girl 'Golden Raye'

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany welcomed their third child on Sunday. The couple shared the news through a touching black-and-white Instagram photo featuring their newborn daughter's feet alongside a wooden sign.

"Golden Raye Mahomes• 1/12/25🎀✨," Brittany captioned on Monday.

Golden Raye joins siblings Sterling Skye and Patrick "Bronze" Lavon Mahomes III, completing the family's trio of children.

The timing couldn't have worked out better for the Mahomes family. In a Netflix clip from Dec. 25, Patrick shared his hope that the baby would arrive during a bye week. His wish came true as the Chiefs secured the No. 1 playoff seed.

NFL reporter Tracy Wolfson revealed that Brittany was due on Sunday, with a labor induction scheduled for Monday if needed. The couple didn't need the backup plan — Golden Raye arrived right on schedule.

The announcement follows the couple's July revelation of their pregnancy. They shared the news through an Instagram Reel featuring the family in all-white outfits, dancing and laughing while holding sonogram images.

The Mahomes' story stretches back to their teenage years at Whitehouse High School in Texas. Patrick Mahomes was a sophomore and Brittany a junior when they started dating.

In a 2020 Today interview, Patrick recalled those early days.

"I was just a normal teenage kid showing up at the family dinner type stuff and being nervous and everything," Patrick said.

Their journey included Patrick's rise to NFL stardom and Brittany's stint as a professional soccer player in Iceland. After getting engaged in September 2020, they welcomed Sterling in February 2021.

The couple tied the knot in March 2022 in a private ceremony in Maui, Hawaii. Bronze joined the family in November 2022, continuing their metallic-themed naming tradition that includes their dogs, Silver and Steel.

Patrick made his family plans clear last summer.

"I'm done," Patrick said. "I said three, and I'm done."

The Chiefs prepare to face the Houston Texans in the AFC divisional round on Saturday. Patrick will balance his quest for a historic third straight Super Bowl championship with life as a father of three. The playoffs and parenthood — both requiring perfect timing — have aligned for the Mahomes family's newest chapter.
