Patrick Mahomes' wife Brittany drops 2-word reaction to Chiefs honoring baby girl Golden's birth

Patrick Mahomes is all set for the NFL playoffs. The Kansas City Chiefs are on the brink of making NFL history, looking at a third consecutive Super Bowl win.

Of course, Mahomes is locked in and focused on the Divisional Round clash against the Houston Texans. The QB has also welcomed his third baby, a girl, with his wife Brittany Mahomes.

The Chiefs made sure to congratulate Mahomes on becoming a father to Golden Raye. Posting of Mahomes' entry, the Chiefs wrote:

"QB's looking Golden."

Brittany was impressed with the team's wordplay.

"The caption [awe emoji], [crying emoji]," Mahomes added.

Announcing the baby before the 2024 NFL season kicked off, Brittany has continued to keep fans updated. Golden was born on Jan. 12. Brittany and Patrick shared the images of her feet to make the announcement.

The Mahomes family and their friends were overjoyed at Golden's arrival. The Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt's wife Tavia also congratulated the couple:

"Rejoicing with you! 🎉💖So thankful she arrived easily and you’re both thriving!🙏🏼"

Mahomes' brother Jackson and father Mahomes Sr. also commented.

Patrick Mahomes promised wife Brittany that he'd win the No. 1 seed

Before the NFL playoffs arrived, Mahomes revealed that he promised Brittany the No. 1 spot. The baby's due date was around Jan. 12, which would be a rest week for the Chiefs if they were No. 1. The Chiefs sailed through with a 15-2 record.

"I told my wife, my pregnant wife, I was gonna get her the No. 1 seed so we can go have that baby," Mahomes said.

In another interview, Mahomes revealed that he also didn't want to worry Brittany any further.

"Brittany says I've been stressing her out too much this season, so I got to try not put so much stress on her through these football games and get the bye," Mahomes said. "And hopefully, God works the right way and we can have that baby maybe on the bye week somewhere and then everything will work out perfectly."

Irrespective of the outcome of the game, one can expect more such family updates from Brittany Mahomes.
