New England Patriots insider Evan Lazar recently made comments saying that the team's locker room is "teetering on a mutiny". During a conversation on the "Catch 22" podcast, Lazar mentioned that he was in the locker room after the Patriots' loss to the San Francisco 49ers and said that the team's defense is mad at the defense and the offense is mad at the offense.

He also said that the young receivers on the team are throwing tantrums. After his comments went viral, Lazar came on 98.5 Sports Hub and said that he "got a little carried away" while talking about the locker room mutiny.

After listening to Lazar say that there is no mutiny in the Patriots locker room, the team's fans believe that the franchise forced him to retract his comments.

Here's how fans reacted on social media:

"The owner is the problem. Has been for years. Within a year or so essentially let go of the two best coaches in their respective sports. Brady covered up the flaws," said Corey Cappocia via X.
"This is pathetic. Mayo and AVP forcing media to retract their statements to make them look better," added another user.
"If the Patriots are worrying about reports of a mutiny then they have much bigger problems. Let’s worry about the o-line not getting QBs killed. Let’s worry about the defense setting the edge and actually tackling. Start winning and there will be no mutiny," said another fan.
"The boss call was made," said another Patriots fan.
"Which Kraft was holding the gun to Evan's head during the call?" added a fan.

These reactions show that the fans do not trust the organization and believe that both Tom Brady and Bill Belichick were able to cover up a lot of things. Now that Jerod Mayo has taken over as head coach, the team's potential dysfunction has come to the forefront.

The Patriots are 1-3 heading into Week 5, where they will face the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins are still without Tua Tagovailoa, and they have also lost their last three games.

The Patriots do have a good chance of winning this game, but for that to be possible, the offense needs to play well. New England is averaging just 13.0 points and 266.0 yards of total offense per game this season.

Quarterback Jacoby Brissett has thrown for 536 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception in four games while completing 60.4% of his throws.

Patriots fans are growing impatient with the team, and if their offense continues to struggle against Miami, there will be more shouts for Drake Maye to start for them as soon as possible.
