Brandon Aiyuk has received trade offers from three different teams. He has reportedly rejected one of them, and the team's fans are unhappy.
Late on Tuesday, reports emerged that trade talks between the New England Patriots and the disgruntled San Francisco 49ers wide receiver had collapsed. NBC's Matt Maiocco clarified that the latter had shown little to no interest in moving despite a potential extension that could have earned him $30 million annually - reportedly the highest offer from among the interested teams:
Needless to say, Patriots fans were enraged:

"Hope Aiyuk rots on the bench this season! Loser mentality," wrote a fan.
More of the anger can be seen below:
"Most hated man in New England from now on," one declared.
"Bro wants to go play for the most mid team in the nfl the Steelers," another lamented.
"Have fun catching passes from Russell Wilson and Justin Fields," yet another's "farewell" went.
Pat Freiermuth weighs in on Brandon Aiyuk trade rumors
While the Patriots are upset and disappointed by Brandon Aiyuk's development, one team is elated; the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The new team of Russell Wilson and Justin Fields has been desperately seeking a replacement for Diontae Johnson, who left for the Carolina Panthers via trade during this offseason. Third-round rookie Roman Wilson was supposed to be that man, but an ankle injury has prevented him from showcasing much of his potential.
Hence, the resumption of trade talks with Aiyuk on Tuesday, which had been said to have fallen apart the previous day. One person showing cautious optimism is tight end Pat Freiermuth.
During practice, he said:
"Whatever happens, happens... If something happens, great. But we're confident in what we have right now."
Freiermuth will not have to worry that much. On NFL Network's The Insiders, Mike Garafolo said that the Steelers might have become the frontrunner:
"Some folks said the Steelers were out of it. (They) were never out of it, and they're not out of it as we sit here. It sounds like that would be Aiyuk's preferred destination of all the teams we have talked about. It's just gotta get to the point where (they) can sweeten the pot."
Another AFC North team, the Cleveland Browns, are also in contention, with multiple-time Pro Bowler Amari Cooper singled out as the main bait.
