Patriots fans make feelings clear on Jerod Mayo's HC job reportedly being in jeopardy: "Bring in Ben Johnson or Mike Vrabel" 

Jerod Mayo's debut season as the New England Patriots head coach hasn't gone as swimmingly as he'd hoped. The team is 3-10 and currently holds the third pick in the 2025 NFL draft. The team's top brass expected to see a semblance of progress after firing six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach Bill Belichick at the end of last season. However, they have seemingly gotten slightly worse under Mayo.

Owner Robert Kraft is reportedly not in the mood to exercise patience. According to Boston Sports Journal, the rookie head coach has four games to save his job. If the team fails to show any progress or win any games, Mayo could be shown the exit door after only one year in charge of the team.

If the Patriots decide to fire Mayo and chase Mike Vrabel, they'll have to fend off several suitors. The Chicago Bears, New Orleans Saints, and New England's division rivals, the New York Jets, will reportedly interview him in the offseason.

However, Kraft and the Patriots should ideally have the upper hand if they chase the former Titans head coach's signature. He spent nine seasons with the franchise and won three Super Bowls. Vrabel was also inducted into the team's Hall of Fame last season.

It remains to be seen whether the Patriots sack Jerod Mayo after only one year in charge and hire another former star to take over the reins in New England.
