The Manning brothers both retired from the NFL as two-time Super Bowl champions, but they might one day be interested in being team owners. Former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning spoke to Front Office Sports about the possibility. However, he isn't sure he wants to do anything that doesn't correlate to the Giants:
“It’s of interest, it’s just got to be the right fit. I don’t think the Giants are going to be for sale anytime soon.”
The two-time Super Bowl champion believes it would be strange to get involved with a team he has had no prior involvement with. He spent his entire career in New York and doesn't want to own any other team. However, he believes his brother Peyton Manning could be part of an ownership group sooner than himself. The Denver Broncos seem to be the most likely destination, according to the former Giant:
“Denver’s going through some stuff."

The Broncos did just sell to the Walton-Penner group, which included F1 driver Lewis Hamilton and Walmart heir Rob Walton. Manning loved his time with the Broncos and could be interested in trying to get involved with that group.
Otherwise, it's probably going to be a long time before the Broncos are sold again. Peyton Manning may be more inclined to own a team other than one he played for than his brother, though.
With the Mannings looking at NFL ownership, which owners might sell their franchises soon?
The Washington Commanders are very likely to be sold. Owner Dan Snyder is in ever-increasingly hot water over toxic workplace and sexual harassment allegations. The NFL is reportedly considering forcing him out.
New Orleans Saints owner Gayle Benson has a plan in place for her successor since she is 75 years old now. So there's a chance that the team will also go up for sale soon. Despite the fact that they were recently sold, the Carolina Panthers are an option as they have not had an ounce of moderate success since David Tepper purchased them. At some point, he may consider moving on.
The Seattle Seahawks could be sold soon, too. Owner Paul Allen died in 2018 and his trust, overseen by his sister, owns the team. Eventually, the Seahawks could be up for sale. Given everything that's occurring with the Chicago Bears and their new stadium, there's a possibility that someone else will own them in the near future. Bears owner Virginia Halas McCaskey is 99 years old and there have been rumors of her family wanting the franchise sold in previous years.
As to whether the next buyers will involve Peyton or Eli Manning remains to be seen, but don't rule it out.
