The Kansas City Chiefs are one step closer to NFL history as they attempt to win three straight Super Bowl titles. On Saturday, Kansas City defeated the Houston Texans in the divisional round, advancing to the AFC title game for the seventh consecutive season.
After the game, wide receiver Mecole Hardman's fiancee, Chariah Gordon, shared a glimpse at the celebration on the field at Arrowhead Stadium. In the Instagram story she shared, the video board at the stadium read "Championship Bound" as red fireworks went off to celebrate the moment.
"See ya next week," Gordon wrote.

Mecole Hardman's injury status remains unknown as Chiefs advance
In Week 12 of the 2024 NFL season, wide receiver and special teams star Mecole Hardman suffered a knee injury. The injury was severe enough that he required surgery to repair his knee and has been out since. Before suffering the knee injury, Hardman had 12 catches for 90 yards, five rushes for 62 yards and one touchdown.
Hardman was removed from the injured reserve after the Kansas City Chiefs' bye week, which showed speculation that his return was near. On Friday, Kansas City announced that Hardman had already been ruled out for the divisional round game.
The team expects Hardman to return in time for a postseason game, or they likely wouldn't have removed him from the IR. He has played mostly on special teams in 2024 after an eventful 2023.
Hardman started last season with the New York Jets after spending his first four seasons in Kansas City. He was traded back to the Chiefs in Oct. 2023 and scored the game-winning touchdown in overtime in Super Bowl LVIII.
