New England Patriots fans opposed billionaire Robert Kraft's remark about having two quarterbacks for the next season. In the season-concluding Week 18, the Patriots faced the Buffalo Bills and secured a win.

However, their starting quarterback, Drake Maye, missed the game due to a hand injury. Joe Milton stepped in as a replacement and grabbed attention with his performance.

Kraft praised Milton for his efforts while humorously suggesting the idea of having two quarterbacks on the team. He said:

“‘It looks like we lucked out — we maybe have two quarterbacks. Drake Maye and Joe Milton III, in their own ways, made quite a first impression.”

However, Kraft's remarks didn’t sit well with some fans, who opposed the idea on social media.

"Please stop," a fan wrote.
"Stop," another fan added.
"SHUT UP SHIT UP SHUT UP SHUT UPPPP," one more fan said.

Meanwhile, a fan came to Kraft’s support.

"RK is a fan of the team, he saw what we all saw in Milton and expressed his excitement. In no way whatsoever did he start a QB controversy. Everybody should be blowing up Milton’s performance and his growth this year, in a weak QB class, maybe you get a good draft pick for him," another fan said.

Some even suggested trading Maye and keeping Milton as the team’s quarterback.

"Trade Maye and keep Milton is the only correct approach," a fan commented.
"Ngl Milton would be QB2 in the NFC," one more fan wrote.

While others defended Maye’s abilities.

"There is none Maye is our QB," another fan wrote.
"Hyping up Joe so we get more draft capital," a fan wrote.

Patriots' Joe Milton opens up about his performance against the Bills

Joe Milton played his first NFL game against the Bills on Sunday. He threw a touchdown and completed 22 of his 29 passes. He said (via Mass Live):

“It was important for me to get that done this season. That’s what I wanted to do my rookie season. Just live and learn for a little bit at the beginning. And then, at the end, if I had my chance, if it ever presented itself, I was going to show up and show out. That’s what I always told myself ... just play ball out there.”

This season, the New England Patriots had a rough run, finishing with a 4-13 record. They started strong with a win against Cincinnati, lost their way since, and intriguingly concluded the season with a surprising victory against the Bills.
