Puka Nacua and Hallie Aiono's postgame hug is sure to melt hearts
After the Los Angeles Rams won their fourth NFC West title, Puka Nacua's girlfriend, Hallie Aiono, who has supported him since his college days at BYU, only had love to offer to the NFL WR.
On her IG Story, she embraced Nacua with a warm hug while he smiled from ear to ear. The text overlaid on the image read:
"His smile is everything. You never fail to amaze me Puka Nacua."
Nacua’s road to playoff glory has been anything but smooth. His struggles began in August when the wide receiver suffered a burst bursa sac in his right knee during training camp, leading him to miss crucial practice time.
On Aug. 26, as Puka Nacua returned to full practice, by Sept. 4, the Rams cleared him for the season opener against the Detroit Lions.
However, on Sept. 8, the game proved bittersweet. Nacua managed 35 receiving yards and seven rushing yards but exited in the second quarter due to a PCL sprain. Yet again, he landed in injured reserve.
When Nacua returned in late October against the Minnesota Vikings, he gave standout performances.
By December, he silenced doubters by pulling off a franchise-record 162-yard game against the Buffalo Bills. He also scored two touchdowns, one by running and one by catching, and became the first Rams player to do so.
A few days later, in a rainy game against the 49ers, Nacua made another epic play. His one-handed catch against Charvarius Ward drew comparisons to David Tyree’s iconic "Helmet Catch."
