Sean McVay and the Los Angeles Rams are heading to the divisional round of the playoffs following a 27-9 win over the Minnesota Vikings on Monday night. The game was moved from SoFi Stadium LA to State Farm Stadium in Arizona due to the wildfire ravaging the City of Angels. However, that didn't affect the Rams in the slightest, as they blew out the Vikings.

Not many would have predicted McVay and Co. thrashing the 14-3 Vikings. However, the head coach's game plan worked to perfection as the Rams' defense limited Minnesota's high-powered offense to 269 yards.

Fans on social media couldn't help but laud McVay. Good Morning Football host Kyle Brandt even anointed him as the best coach in the league.

One fan vehemently disagreed with the take and claimed that Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid still sits atop the throne:

"Only one coach has stood on top of the mountain the last two years. That's Andy Reid. Put some massive respect on his name."

A couple acknowledged that McVay is among the best, but they also sided with Reid.

"Andy Reid still exists. But he's def up there," said another fan.

However, many agreed with Brandt's take about McVay being the best:

"Say it louder for the haters in the back!" - Said @GameDownSights
"Been telling y'all. Never doubt [Sean McVay]." - Claimed @GetEmOuttaHere
"And it’s not f**king close" - Remarked @LoweLids

Sean McVay and the Rams' tough playoff path

Sean McVay has little time to celebrate the Rams. The Rams have to begin preparing for a tough test in the divisional round against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field.

If they win, they'll either face the Detroit Lions at Ford Field or the Washington Commanders at SoFi Stadium. They'll be rooting for the latter, but they are aware that they'll likely face the Lions in the NFC Championship Game if they get there.

Not many envisioned the Rams to get this far after their 1-4 start to the season. However, they'll believe that they can venture deeper and potentially win the Super Bowl for the second time in four years, largely due to McVay's ability to come up with a stellar game plan against any opponent.
