Raheem Mostert has re-signed with the Miami Dolphins

Raheem Mostert has officially signed a new contract with the Miami Dolphins. The veteran running back, who was signed by the team last season, has now penned down a contract extension.

Mostert's new contract is reportedly a two-year deal worth $5.6 million. Out of this deal, $2.2 million is said to be guaranteed upon signing.

The running back was a vital part of the Dolphins offense, averaging close to 5 yards per carry. He will now once again pad up alongside superstars Tyreek Hill and Tua Tagovailoa.

This is part of the team's idea of preserving their core while adding several star talents to the mix. Alongside Mostert, the team also re-signed the likes of Duke Riley and Elijah Campbell among their 28 FAs.

Miami has already gone big this offseason, securing the trade of All-Pro caliber corner Jalen Ramsey from the LA Rams. Another interesting signing they completed was that of backup QB Mike White from the New York Jets.

The Dolphins are clearly in win-now mode. Securing the services of a veteran running back like Mostert could be crucial to their bid to nail a Super Bowl run.
