Maxx Crosby and Jalen Hurts formed one play that continues to live in the former's mind years later. At age 27, Crosby has had plenty of plays, but this was one he still thinks about.

Speaking on Friday's edition of "Good Morning Football," Crosby claimed that one quarterback sneak stop he made forced the Eagles to adopt the modified quarterback sneak they use today.

"It's really annoying," Crosby said. "You can't stop it. You really can't stop it. My third year in the league, the Eagles weren't running that tush push at the time and they were at the goal line."
"We were beating them at home and I went 'Troy Polamalu' and jumped over and got Jalen Hurts and I have not seen them run a [conventional] QB sneak since then." [00:04 - 00:24][19.8] GMFB

The tush push is a key play in the Eagles attack. The Eagles forego the running back on the majority of third and fourth down plays, putting the ball in Hurts' hands instead. Hurts, flanked by teammates behind him, and the other two players push the pile forward just enough to get a first down in the vast majority of situations.

Recent concussion hands Eagles reason to reconsider using Jalen Hurts for tush push against Rams

Jalen Hurts' Eagles might be stumbling into the counter against the tush push and it isn't anything any team is actively doing. Rather, the additional hits taken by Hurts over time have added up to injuries.

With Hurts still shaking off the hangover from his concussion that knocked him out of the lineup for the last month of the regular season, the Philadelphia Eagles will be forced to prioritize Hurts' health or winning.

Of course, there is a middle ground with the team potentially trying out using another player like Saquon Barkley or tight end Dalton Schultz to save Hurts from the hits. However, putting in a new face to conduct the play in the biggest game of the season is a risky move that could test the belief of any coach.

Will the Eagles continue to risk Hurts' health with perhaps the most broken play in the NFL?
