Mark Andrews had a game to forget as the Bills defeated the Ravens 27-25 in the AFC Divisional Round playoffs. The tight end fumbled the ball when his team was down 24-19 after completing a first down. A touchdown there would have given them the lead but he ended up trying to gain more yards after already having done enough to move the chains. In the process, he fumbled the ball as Terrel Bernard knocked it out and recovered it.
it allowed Buffalo to go down the other end and score a field goal to take a 27-19 lead. Lamar Jackson, though, playing like the MVP that he is, led the team to a touchdown drive within the two-minute warning to make the score 27-25. Baltimore needed to go for a two-point conversion to make it 27-27 and force overtime.
The quarterback threw a perfect pass to Mark Andrews with nobody in the vicinity. The tight end, normally so assured, dropped the ball and kept the score as is. It also gave the ball back to the Bills and they saw out the rest of the game safely to proceed to the AFC Championship game against the Chiefs next week.

Ravens fans were unhappy with how their player played throughout the game and accused him of losing the game. Some said it was time for the loyal servant to retire as their Super Bowl aspirations lay in ruins yet again. Here are some of the reactions from X/Twitter.
Some accused him of ruining Lamar Jackson's legacy while others wondered if he had voted for Josh Allen as the MVP. The recriminations continued and here are some more samples from the social media platform.
"He just cost lamar his legacy" - said one.
"Mark Andrews absolutely voted for Josh Allen to win MVP." - added another poster.
"This will haunt Mark Andrews in his dreams. Wow. That’s tough." - was a more sympathetic reply.
Snowy conditions in Buffalo affects Ravens' stars like Mark Andrews more than Bills
Another thing that the Ravens will be looking at is their slow start to the 2024 season. Had they started better, they might have been the second seed in the AFC. Instead, since they were the third seed, they had to travel to a snowy Buffalo and play in temperatures that they were not used to.
Apart from Mark Andrews' crucial drop and his fumble earlier, Derrick Henry had two drops in the first half, including one in the opening drive. Lamar Jackson threw an interception and fumbled the ball on another. Had they done better to bring this game to Baltimore, one assumes they would have been more comfortable. However, all of that is hypothetical and it will be Josh Allen versus Patrick Mahomes in the AFC Championship in Kansas City next week.
