A Jason Kelce and Vince Wilfork crossover wasn't something the NFL zeitgeist were asking for yesterday, but it is something that it is thrilled to have today. A new post by the retired Philadelphia Eagles center of a new commercial with the retired New England Patriots star has won the favor of fans.

"Retirement Kelce is the most entertaining Kelce," one stated.
"So when can we expect the ‘Jason Kelce’ overalls to go on sale?" another asked.
"This is the most Jason Kelce commercial to have ever lived!" another proclaimed.

Even more fans lined up to applaud the new advertisement.

"This is Awesome!" one fan said.
"Love it! Happy retirement boys!" another exclaimed.
"This has made my morning!!" one jubilantly stated.

In the 90-second commercial, Kelce and Wilfork share a grill, the former New England Patriots player's trademark. Wilfork hands Kelce a trademark set of overalls, and the two get to grilling in an advertisement requiring a decade of NFL knowledge to fully appreciate.

Back in the early 2010s, Vince Wilfork was one of the faces of the defensive side of the ball to complement Tom Brady. The defensive lineman was known for his massive size standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 325 pounds when he was active in the NFL. Since he retired in 2016, he has been known for appearing in various advertisements as a griller. Now, it seems, Kelce has gone on to join him on the retirement grill.

Retirement can be surprisingly difficult for some people. As Tom Brady proved with his bonus season following his retirement, hanging it up sometimes takes multiple attempts. However, with the NFL calendar barrelling toward the start of training camp, there appears to be no doubt that Jason Kelce will remain on the sideline.

If that continues into August, it would be his first NFL-free August since 2010. In every year since, he has been required to take part in the NFL's boot camp during one of the hottest months of the year. However, 2024 will be different.

As players around the league schedule flights and make arrangements next month to begin the six-month grind, Kelce will remain wherever he is. Of course, that isn't to say he won't make a cameo appearance in Philadelphia or visit his brother with the Kansas City Chiefs, but he won't be working while he does it.
