Former Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski talked about which NBA player he compares himself with. The former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end talked with Kay Adams on Wednesday's episode of "Up & Adams" when he was told LeBron James used him to describe how he would've fared in the NFL.

Besides Gronk, the LA Lakers superstar picked Randy Moss and Calvin Johnson, "Megatron," as his three NFL comps. Gronkowski went with LeBron but also mentioned two players who dominated the paint, Blake Griffin and Shaquille O'Neal.

"I go LeBron just a little bit because of that mentality of finishing at the hoop, like I can dunk a little bit. So I would say my dunks are a little bit similar to LeBron's. That's my game, where we can have the same comparison. And then who I always what, who I always admire big time. And he's about the same age as me, like writing the same era as me, with Blake Griffin...
"And then the third person 100% I'm going to go with Shaq Diesel. I was called. They said I was Bronco Shaq when I was in high school. I was not good at foul shots. I was better than Shaq at foul shots. I was dunking all over fools. People were hitting me. No foul forever. So Shaq, LeBron and Blake Griffin.

Those three are strong and dominant players who used their body strength in their favor. It's easier to compare him to Blake Griffin and Shaquille O'Neal given that they played near the rim and made their opponents pay from five feet or less.

Rob Gronkowski has shown his talents on the basketball court

Rob Gronkowski has participated in other sports and competitions, even teaming up with his best friend "Mojo Rawley" when the latter was a member of the WWE roster. He also held his ground on the basketball court, showing off his skills during the first-ever BIG 3 All-Star Celebrity Game in 2022.

Gronk was described as "the archetypal bull in a China shop, which was effective and disastrous in equal measures" by the league's official website when they shared the game recap.

Retired in 2021, Gronkowski has transitioned into becoming an NFL analyst. He's working on FOX and has appearances on Adams' show. Unfortunately, watching LeBron play in the NFL never came to fruition, just like watching Rob Gronkowski take on the NBA challenge.
