They say you must be careful what you say on the internet or on TV, and Robert Griffin III learned that lesson on Monday Night.
During Monday Night Football's coverage between the Arizona Cardinals and New England Patriots, Griffin III unintentionally made a sensitive racial comment on the broadcast.
In the coverage, Griffin III said:
"People said Jalen Hurts couldn't get it done, he could not break the pocket, he's not the quarterback of the future, I think he proved all those j*****oos wrong."

RGIII responded to what he said during MNF coverage on Twitter.
He tweeted:
"Yooooo, Definitely need to clarify this. THIS IS NOT WHAT I MEANT TO SAY. Was trying to say “those Bug-A-Boos” in reference to haters and doubters. Regardless of my intention, I understand the historical context of the term that came out of my mouth and I apologize."
Griffin III's use of the word "j****oo" is a racially derogatory term for Black people. He claimed he meant to use the term "Bug-a-boo" to describe something or someone that worries you.
It appears RGIII meant that Hurts has proved everyone who doubted him (or worried about him) wrong by having an MVP campaign season. Griffin III owned up to it in a statement shortly after.
Robert Griffin III is right about Jalen Hurts proving doubters wrong
Regardless of the context RGIII used, his message was that Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has been proving haters and doubters wrong with the season he is having.
Through 14 weeks, Hurts is the current frontrunner to win the league MVP award, with -175 odds following Week 14. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is right behind him at +200, with everyone else a mile away.
Hurts led the Eagles to a league-best 12-1 record. He has completed 68 percent of his passes while throwing for 3,157 yards, 22 touchdowns, and three interceptions.
Hurts has also been using his legs to run the ball as he has totaled 686 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns this season. The Eagles and Hurts are on their way to clinching the number one seed in the NFC and have a legit shot at a Super Bowl run this season.
