Should Sean Payton start Bo Nix in the 2024 season? Fans think so after Sunday's preseason game

Bo Nix looks primed to become "HIM" for the Denver Broncos - the franchise quarterback they have been lacking since Peyton Manning retired at the end of the 2015 season.

He proved again on Sunday, completing eight of nine passes for 80 yards and this touchdown to Tim Patrick before being withdrawn in the second quarter:

Bo Nix gets praise from multiple figures as Broncos rookie solidifies starting QB case

The Bo Nix era could be beckoning in Denver, as he continues to impress both in camp and on the field during games. Pat McAfee called him "a superstar in the making."

Just before the Broncos-Packers game, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler said:

"Honestly, he's been getting that. He was a first-team runner in the joint practice. He got some time with the top receivers last week in the preseason game, acquitted himself well. He's got some momentum here. The Broncos are not hiding away from the fact that he's been impressive. His ability to process at the line of scrimmage, move the ball downfield."

Meanwhile, right tackle Mike McGlinchey appreciated his passer's bravery and refusal to hesitate when making plays during practice on Wednesday:

“(Hesitation)’s certainly a mistake that probably every player makes at some point in his career and especially as a young guy. We haven’t seen any of that from Bo and that’s been a really, really cool thing to watch. Certainly, he’s going to keep building on that confidence too.”

He continued:

“He has a very unique combination of humility and confidence that goes a long way for his position, and certainly as a rookie stepping in here with a lot of pressure on himself. He’s taken that [in] stride and there’s no fear of competition, no fear of getting out there and going for it. That certainly has showed in the way that he’s progressed (in) all of camp.”

As of this writing, the Broncos are leading the Packers 20-0 in the third quarter.
