"Hit the eject button" - Russell Wilson, Ciara should get a divorce, claims Jason Whitlock

Russell Wilson and his wife Ciara have been the talk of the town since the Oscars.

The popular singer and the star QB attended the Academy Awards, with the former showing up in a risque and revealing outfit. While some fans applauded her confident style, others couldn't stop ridiculing the singer for her choice.

Predictably, Wilson and their marriage was also called out by a few. This includes journalist Jason Whitlock, who commented on Ciara's outfit and vocalized his views on his podcast, "Fearless with Jason Whitlock."

In a largely uncalled for and unkind monolog, Whitlock said the following:

"Russ, hit the eject button. You can't be at a prison one day, singing gospel songs with your wife. And then the next day be on somebody's red carpet with your wife butt naked, dressed like a stripper."

Whitlock went on, suggesting that Ciara was emsculating Russell Wilson:

"Hey man, you got a Jezebel on your hands. She is not taking you the right direction. She is emasculating you. Russ, you're 0-2. Ciara, no better than the first wife."

Ciara shared photos of herself on Instagram, showing off the bejewled, sheer halter dress. Wilson, who also attended the event, was a in a classic black suit.

Ciara and Jason Whitlock locked heads over Tyre Nichols' death

Earlier this year, a video of Tyre Nichols being pulled from his car and tasered by cops was shared online. He ran from the police and was beaten after being caught. He later passed away due to his injuries.

Whitlock, who commented on the issue, decided to call out single black mothers over the incident.

“It looked like what young black men do when they’re supervised by a single black woman," Whitlock said.

The 37-year-old clapped back, accusing Whitlock of undermining single black women and their efforts. Whitlock, who responded, explained that while he appreciated her feedback, "baby-mama culture" was destructive:

"We are going to have to deal with the negative impact of baby-mama culture. It's destructive and unsustainable. Come up out of the denial. Denial won't fix the problem. Thanks".

Was Russell Wilson married before Ciara?

Whitlock mentioned Wilson's prior marriage to Ashton Meem. The former couple met in high school, though Meem attended St. Catherine High School and Wilson went to Collegiate School.

Having dated for eight years, Russell Wilson and Meem tied the knot on January 14, 2012 at the Country Club of Virginia. Two years later, in 2014, Wilson filed for divorce. Apparently, Meem cheated on Wilson with his teammate Golden Tate.
