Russell Wilson pays surprise visit to Seattle children's hospital with wife Ciara 

Russell Wilson spent the first 10 seasons of his NFL career playing for the Seattle Seahawks. He enjoyed a lot of great memories in the Pacific Northwest, including two Super Bowl trips, and winning one of them.

He and his wife, Ciara, grew close to the city and were involved in many charitable work off the field. This weekend, the power couple continued to show their love and support for the city they once resided in.

The two paid a Surprise visit to the Seattle Children's Hospital and surprised patients and families at Climate Pledge Arena.

"Earlier today, @ciara and @DangeRussWilson surprised patients and families at Seattle Children's before Ciara's performance at the Climate Pledge Arena. We are thankful for your continuous support and for making the time to bring joy to their day."

Wilson was an active volunteer in the Seattle community during his time with the Seahawks. He would make weekly visits to the Seattle Children's Hospital and also visited soldiers at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

In 2014, Russell Wilson and his wife, Ciara, founded the Why Not You Foundation. It is a nonprofit organization that aims to fight poverty through education and empower the youth to lead with a "why not you attitude."

Less than two years after it was founded, the Why Not You Foundation raised $1,060,005 for the Seattle Children's Hospital's Strong Against Cancer initiative.

Wilson is also an advocate for pediatric cancer, and makes visits to children's hospitals across the country, and has partnered with organizations such as the Jimmy V Foundation, Boys & Girls Club, Friends of the Children, and many others.

Upon arriving in Denver back in 2022, Wilson and Ciara pledged to donate $500,000 to nonprofit organizations across Colorado.

Wilson is now with this third NFL city and team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, for the 2024 season. After not taking a pay cut with the Denver Broncos before the 2023 season ended, the team decided to release him.

With the Steelers, Wilson will look to make another Super Bowl run. He is expected to be the team's starting quarterback with Justin Fields serving as his backup.

Last season Pittsburgh made the playoffs with a 10-7 record despite shuffling through quarterback play between Kenny Pickett, Mitch Trubisky, and Mason Rudolph.

Many expect the Steelers to go further with Wilson as their starting quarterback.
