The New Orleans Saints whiffed on one potential successor to Dennis Allen in Aaron Glenn. Now they have whiffed on another and their fans are not liking it.

On Saturday, the NFL Network's Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport reported that Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady had elected to remain in Orchard Park despite being sought for a second interview:

There was much outrage afterward:

"Nobody wants this job besides McCarthy who just desperate and wants work. Two of their top 3 candidates didn’t even bother coming to the facility.
Fire Mickey Loomis."

More of it can be seen below:

"Mickey loomis and front office gotta go, Shit's embarrassing," one implored.
"Is it bad when no one wants to work for you?" another wondered.
"Damn NO is in shambles, now head coach candidates are turning them down," another lamented.

Who are the Saints' other HC candidates?

The Saints announced on Saturday that they had completed an interview with Mike Kafka. The New York Giants' assistant head coach and offensive coordinator oversaw a very rough season that saw the team lose franchise quarterback Daniel Jones after he requested his release, with Drew Lock holding the starting role for most of its remainder.

Miami Dolphins coordinator Anthony Weaver has also been touted as a candidate. In 2024, his unit, bannered by Pro Bowl free agents Calais Campbell and Jordan Poyer, helped the team to an 8-9 record, remaining in playoff contention until the very final week.

Within the organization, special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi has also been mooted, going 3-3 after a seven-game losing streak following wins in the first two games, resulting in the firing of Dennis Allen.

But none carries as much weight as Mike McCarthy. The Dallas Cowboys declined to renew their erstwhile head coach after going 7-10, their first losing record and playoff absence since his 2020 debut.

The Athletic's Dianna Russini even posts that his "only landing spot" remaining as a head coach in the league is in the Big Easy, saying on last week's episode of the "Scoop City" podcast (02:45 to begin):

"Yeah, I think this would be it. I don't get the sense that the [Jacksonville Jaguars] or [New York Jets] are going to be bringing him in for an interview, so we'll see if this is going to be the right fit and the right opportunity for him and then."

After her comments, the Jaguars and Jets would respectively hire Aaron Glenn and Liam Coen.
