Saquon Barkley has had a stellar season with the Philadelphia Eagles. Yesterday, during the team's game against another of their divisional rivals, the Dallas Cowboys, Barkley surpassed 2,000 season rushing yards. He is the ninth player in the league's history to achieve this feat.
His longtime girlfriend, Anna Congdon, penned a short but heartfelt message on Instagram to convey how proud she was of her boyfriend for achieving this remarkable feat.
"You outshine the morning sun,” Congdon wrote.

In the post following that, Congdon shared a graphic by the NFL showing Barkley doing his iconic reverse hurdle jump over "2K".
Before the game, they shared a "good luck" kiss on the sidelines, joined by their two children. The elder daughter also performed a cute handshake with her dad. The NFL shared a video of the same on Instagram.
He is on the cusp of breaking Eric Dickerson's single-season rising record. He needs just 101 yards. Dickerson set the record in 1984 with the Los Angeles Rams.
Nick Sirianni in two minds over helping Saquon Barkley set NFL record
The Eagles are locked in at their No. 2 seed this postseason. That means neither a win nor a loss during their final game of the regular season would affect their seeding. So, they don't need star players like Barkley to take the field against the New York Giants on Sunday.
However, if Barkley plays against the Giants, he is almost sure to break Eric Dickerson's record, as he registered less than 101 yards in only five games this season. When asked about playing his top players in the final game, Nick Sirianni deferred the decision to later.
“We’ll always do what’s best for these guys, and that could mean playing them, that could mean resting them,” Sirianni said.
Will Barkey break the record this season? Or will the Eagles opt for the safer path and postpone it to another season?
