New York Jets fans have opened up on the rumored plan for the team to hire Brian Flores as their next head coach. Jets reporter Connor Hughes reported that there is rumor of Flores coming to New York in a package deal with a GM to help rebuild the franchise.
"There’s a lot of buzz going around league circles right now regarding a Ryan Grigson (general manager), Brian Flores (head coach), and Josh McCown (offensive coordinator) pairing. A source in Minnesota actually said that’s been talked about within their building," Hughes wrote.
"Important to note: These are league sources speculating on what they’ve heard regarding the Jets vacancy, not a Jets source telling me what they are going to do."
After Hughes' report, Jets fans took to social media and seemed to like the idea of Flores being the team's next head coach.

"I wouldn’t hate that honestly…except Grigson. Please not Grigson," a fan added.
"The script writers are finally getting creative," a fan wrote.
Jets fans like the idea of Flores as head coach and McCown as offensive coordinator, but some fans don't like the idea of Grigson as GM.
"I don’t know much about Grigson, but Flores and McCown both seem like they would be good hires," a fan added.
"I don’t get why McCown or Flores would jump ship to the jets of all teams," a fan wrote.
However, some Jets fans don't like the idea at all as they believe there are better options than these three.
"Great so Josh McCown can work with the new QB while Flores tells him he sucks as Grigson builds a line that gets him killed," a fan wrote.
"Shoutout to all the people who foolishly thought this season was rock bottom for this team," a fan wrote.
The Jets finished the 2024 season going 5-12 and missing the playoffs for the 14th straight year.
Brian Flores is considered a favorite to be the Jets' head coach
The New York Jets have interviewed dozens of candidates, but it appears Brian Flores is one of the front runners for the job. NFL insider Rich Cimini went on "Don, Hahn & Rosenberg" on 880AM ESPN New York and revealed Flores is one of the front runners for the job.
“I would say those are the two favorites at this point, the way I see it,” Cimini said, via Heavy.com.
Flores was the head coach of the Miami Dolphins from 2019 until 2021 and went 24-25.
