The NFL Combine is a dream for prospective college football players looking to make it to the next level. For San Diego State University running back Adam Muema, that certainly was not the case in 2014.
Per Muema, God had a plan for him and that plan entailed him getting selected by the Seattle Seahawks in that year's NFL Draft.
Speaking to the San Diego Union-Tribune, Muema noted that God informed him that if he didn't do the Combine workouts, the Seahawks would draft him. He added that he speaks with God by way of numbers.
"Can't go wrong with God. He told me to sit down, be quiet and enjoy the peace."

Muema subsequently went missing for four days after returning to Florida after leaving the Combine in Indianapolis. He spent that time at the airport, also because God told him to. In his three seasons with San Diego State, Adam Muema rushed for 2,955 yards and 34 touchdowns.
Furthermore, 31 of those 34 touchdowns came in both his sophomore season (16) and junior season (15). He ranks sixth in school history in both yards and touchdowns.
The NFL Combine was not the only major thing Muema missed
Not only did the Aztecs running back leave the NFL Combine, he also missed another key event that could've helped him. In March 2014, the university held its Pro Day for NFL scouts and executives to arrive and get another look at some NFL prospects.
It was also for players who may not have been invited to the NFL Combine, or left in the case of Muema. The running back was to take part in the activities and was a no-show at Pro Day. As for the dream of being drafted by the Seahawks, that unfortunately didn't become a reality as Muema went undrafted.
According to his Twitter profile, Muema dashed his NFL dreams for a life in the ministry as "Cardinal Muema of Africa".
