While this year has been a disaster for Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets, the Jets quarterback will be featured in a new docuseries. Netflix announced in September that they will be releasing an Aaron Rodgers docuseries titled "Enigma."

The trailer dropped on Tuesday while Rodgers made his weekly appearance on the "Pat McAfee Show."

With Rodgers's docuseries being available to stream on Netflix on Dec. 17, ProFootballTalk writer and senior analyst Mike Florio questioned whether or not Aaron Rodgers deserves to have his own docuseries.

Florio thinks the Jets quarterback's glory days are over and that since he hasn't played well in the NFL since 2022, there doesn't seem to be enough relevance to run the series (at least to him."

"(Aaron) Rodgers seems to be losing relevance," Florio said. "There’s Rodgers fatigue. This will likely add to it, unless it prompts a reversal of the heel turn he took in 2021, when his word games with the media blew up in his face — and when he responded to the criticism by becoming a full-blown conspiracy theorist."
"But it feels like the moment has passed. Rodgers barely played in 2023. This year, he has barely played well."

Opinions are opinions, and whether or not people like Rodgers or do, the series will likely draw in a big audience. We will find out in two weeks.

The New York Jets (3-9, AFC East) might be the most disappointing team in football this year. After being viewed as a playoff team by many, the Jets have not exceeded anyone's expectations this season.

The Jet's firing of coach Robert Saleh and general manager Joe Douglas during the season clearly indicates that they will rebuild this offseason.

Part of their rebuild process could be moving on from Aaron Rodgers. The new GM/coach could want to start fresh and move on from the aging veteran.

Rodgers also hinted at the possibility of not returning to the Jets next season. A reporter asked him a few weeks ago if he had plans to return to the Jets next season. He said, "I think so, yeah."
