Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry was a free agent last off-season, and wasn't pursued by Jerry Jones' Dallas Cowboys.
Henry ended up signing a two-year, $16 million contract with $9 million guaranteed with the Baltimore Ravens. This decision came back to bite the Cowboys as Henry had one of the best seasons this season of any running back in the NFL. Dallas also has one of the worst run games in the NFL, ranking 27th in total yards.
In the Ravens' season finale today, Henry had another big game, rushing for 138 yards and two touchdowns. This caused Cowboys reporter Clarence Hill Jr. to tweet that the Cowboys didn't even give Henry a call in free agency.
Former NFL tight end and current sports broadcaster Shannon Sharpe responded to the tweet saying Jerry is the best general manager in the NFL in a sarcastic manner.

Derrick Henry played all 17 games this season for Baltimore, rushing for the second most yards in his career with 1,921 yards and 16 touchdowns while averaging a career-best 5.9 yards per carry.
He also added two receiving touchdowns and 193 receiving yards. He was also named a Pro Bowler this season.
The Dallas Cowboys resigned Ezekiel Elliott and featured Rico Dowdle over pursuing Derrick Henry
After the Dallas Cowboys lost Tony Pollard to the Tennessee Titans in free agency, they elected to bring back Ezekiel Elliott after he spent last season away from the Cowboys as a member of the New England Patriots for just a season.
Dallas also decided to rely on Rico Dowdle more as a feature back this season. As a team, the Cowboys have rushed for 1,555 yards as a team and just five touchdowns. Dowdle has over 1,000 yards on the season but has just one touchdown.
Elliott leads the team with three rushing touchdowns but is averaging a career-low 3.1 yards per carry.
Given Derrick Henry was only signed for $16 million on a two-year deal, it seems like it would have made a lot of sense for Dallas to pursue him this past off-season.
