Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless might go at each other on "Undisputed" nearly every single day, but their relationship is better than it might seem. The show routinely devolves into shouting matches, but they don't have any personal issues.
They did briefly have some trouble, though. Sharpe admitted they had a rough two month stretch that likely stemmed from Bayless' insensitive tweet in the wake of the Damar Hamlin injury.
Hamlin collapsed on the field and was resuscitated before being rushed to a hospital where he fought for his life. Bayless' tweet read:

“No doubt the NFL is considering postponing the rest of this game – but how? This late in the season, a game of this magnitude is crucial to the regular-season outcome … which suddenly seems so irrelevant.”
The following day, Sharpe was not on-air and the next few days were unbelievably tense. Despite that, the two do have a fine relationship.
Sharpe said via TMZ Sports:
"I wasn’t gonna allow two bad months to ruin six years of a great working relationship. We have a great working relationship. I think it helps our relationship on-air that we are not that close. He doesn’t know what I’m thinking and he doesn’t know what I’m going to say."
After the incident, Sharpe said the two sat down together and discovered "we're better together than apart."
How long have Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless been working together?
Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless have been one of the most interesting on-screen duos in sports media for a while. That title used to go to Bayless and his former partner at ESPN, Stephen A. Smith.
When Bayless left for FS1, it wasn't clear who he'd work with, but it turned out to be Sharpe. The former tight end and Hall of Famer was just beginning his budding media career.
This all occurred in 2016, which is when Undisputed first aired. Since then, they've become a dynamic duo, partly because of their apparent disdain for each other.
However, according to Sharpe, it's all on-air and they have a fine relationship off-air, though they're not terribly close.
