Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons is facing the heat for the comments he made recently about Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts. Now, analyst Shannon Sharpe has criticized Parsons for his words.
During an appearance on Buffalo Bills linebacker Von Miller's podcast, The Voncast, Parsons questioned whether Hurts was having an MVP-like season or if it was the team that was making him look good.
“When you look at the Eagles, is it Hurts or the team?...It's system and team,” Parsons said.

Parsons reiterated what he meant by the comments he made on Hurts.
He said:
“I’m sure they hate me. But I’ll always ... I mean, you’ve got to stand on everything you say, just as a man.”
“No pun intended or no disrespect to Hurts. I think he’s doing great this year. But you know me, I’m a defensive guy, and I said the Eagles' defense is the team to watch. They just got hell of [defenders] making plays all year. From a defensive aspect, I know how offensive guys get all the credit."
The Undisputed crew, featuring Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless, spoke about Parsons' comments. Sharpe believes Parsons' comments were out of line.
"First of all, I got a problem, Skip, because Philly doesn't need you to stick up for their defenders. And I'm not going to lie. I'm not going to lie ... and I love Micah, but I'm not going to allow him to play victim here. You said it was the system.
"Nobody says, 'Is Patrick Mahomes or the system?' It's Patrick Mahomes. Nobody said, 'Joe Burrow or the system?' Nobody says, 'Brady or Rodgers or the system?' You made a thing like Jalen Hurts is a gatekeeper, that it's the team around him, not Jalen Hurts. How do you expect the Eagles to react? How do you think Jalen Hurts took that? Oh, he's not hurt."
Sharpe continued by saying that he thinks Parsons should have just complimented Hurts for the season he's been having.
"You know I was, we were, just talking about. Okay, fine, talk ball. All you had to do ... the way you could have done it is that Jalen Hurts was having a phenomenal season. He's an excellent ball player. He's going to probably be the MVP, and deservedly so.
"But when you bring system into it, you make it seem like it's not the guy, it's the system that causes him to be successful. Every quarterback is the system's guy. Jalen Hurts, in the system that they've implemented, allows him to be his absolute best."
