Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless have been in the headlines over the last couple of days. With Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin's incident being at the front of everyone's minds, Bayless' poorly worded tweet caused quite the stir...as it should have.
Following Bayless' highly criticized tweet about the Bills and Cincinnati Bengals Monday Night Football game, Sharpe was a glaring absentee from Fox Sports' "Undisputed" on Tuesday. That led to speculation that the pair were at a crossroads in their relationship.

There were even reports their relationship was at an "all-time" low. Amid the speculation, Sharpe shared a text message from his brother, Sterling Sharpe.
Sharpe wrote:
"My Bro just sent this to me. He doesn’t show or share a lot emotions with me. Over last month he’s sent me more text messages and voice messages than ever…"
Those strong and powerful words from Sterling clearly resonated with Sharpe. His on-air relationship with Bayless has become a big talking point over the last few months, which makes this text message rather interesting.
Could we be reading too much into it? Possibly. Could there be a correlation between this and Bayless' tweet and then his cutting off of Sharpe in the opening minutes of "Undisputed" on Wednesday? Possibly, too.
Is Sharpe and Bayless' relationship at a crossroads?
The Hall of Fame tight end was a no-show on "Undisputed" on Tuesday as he stated that the Hamlin incident shook him, which is fair enough. On top of that, Bayless' tweet about said situation was poor.
Bayless clarified his tweet after a FS1 boss told him to, but things seemingly have taken a turn for the worse after what unfolded on Wednesday morning on the show.
As Sharpe was starting the show and told the audience why he was absent from the show on Tuesday, he then said that he hoped Bayless took down the tweet. Skip then proceeded to interrupt his co-host and said that he wouldn't be taking it down and that he stood by his tweet. Watch the interaction below.
It is clear that the Hall of Fame tight end's patience is wearing incredibly thin with his co-host. It remains to be seen just how long the pair will continue working together.
The interaction this morning was rather awkward and was not good viewing. There have been calls for FS1 to fire Bayless over it, but at the time of writing, nothing has happened.
