Simone Biles responds to outrage over Packers jacket mishap at husband Jonathan Owens' Bears preseason game

Simone Biles found herself in controversy after she styled a Packers jacket to wear to the Chicago Bears vs Cincinnati Bengals preeason game on Aug. 17. Her husband, Jonathan Owens, is a starting safety for the Bears. NFL fans were upset by Biles' outfit mishap and didn't mince words in sharing their criticism.

Almost a month after the incident, Simone Biles finally replied to fans' criticism. In an interview with TMZ, the Olympic gold medalist said she now has plenty of Chicago Bears outfits for upcoming appearances at her husband's games.

"Yes, I have plenty [of Bears gear] now. so, don't you worry, guys!" Biles said.

In addition to fans, Simone Biles received negative comments from NFL critics such as Dave Portnoy, who didn't seem impressed with her outfit choice. Interestingly, the backlash could have been avoided, considering the Olympic gymnast was warned against wearing the Packers jacket.

Jonathan Owens reflects back on married life with Simone Biles

Last week, after enjoying a nature-filled detox, Jonathan Owens shed light on married life with Simone Biles. The Bears safety sat in an interview with The Post and talked about some exclusive details of life after marriage to an Olympics gymnast.

“When it comes from traveling to different events or coming to my football games, it makes [us] want to go out there and harder or you want to improve just because you know that your family is there supporting you," Owens said.

"That’s just one thing that we always make sure to do with each other because you do understand what each other goes through, and you know how hard it is when you’re a professional athlete. It’s been amazing … I wouldn’t want to do it any other way than with my wife because we both understand each other and support each other fully,” Owens concluded.

After making a blunder with her outfit choice at the Bears vs. Bengals preseason game, Simone Biles will be looking forward to redeeming herself at Owens' upcoming regular season games. The Bears will be facing the Titans at Soldier Field on Sunday, with the game expected to kick off at 1:00 PM EDT.
