Another day has gone by while Odell Beckham Jr. remains unsigned, despite interest from the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Buffalo Bills, and other teams. There were multiple reports last week which suggested that OBJ would be signed to a team by this week, but he remains a free agent.
However, the Dallas Cowboys don't believe Beckham Jr. is cleared to play and are being patient with the process.
Undisputed analyst Skip Bayless thinks that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is letting his pride get in the way of signing Odell Beckham Jr. He also drew a comparison with wide receiver James Washington.
"James Washington never quite clicked with Big Ben Roethlisberger for whatever reason. I'm gonna remind you I loved him at Oklahoma State because he won the Fred Biletnikoff award and was a first-team All-American in 2017. And again went in the second round because he's not a speed demon. He ran four, five, five at the combine, which is not speed demon rate. But every time I turned on the TV watching Oklahoma State, he was behind somebody, it's just what he does."

He continued:
"I don't know how he does it. But he does that. He hurt his foot in training camp. And one month ago, he returned to practice and they kept saying - next week, next week, next week. And I don't know what's going on. I don't know if he's just not practicing. Well, I don't know. But my point is, Jerry's pride is on the line, sign James Washington and he probably thinks in his heart of hearts, he can be just as effective as Odell could be right here, right now."
Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys are afraid Odell Beckham Jr. is not fully healthy
Odell Beckham Jr. isn't signed to a team because he may not be ready to step onto the field.
ESPN's Ed Werder tweeted on Tuesday afternoon that the Dallas Cowboys have concerns about Beckham Jr.'s health and this may be holding them off on signing him.
The former Los Angeles Rams WR is recovering from a torn left ACL suffered in February during the Super Bowl. Werder also stated that OBJ may not be able to play until 2023.
With the possibility of not playing during the 2022-23 season, it will be interesting to see if a team signs him in the post-season or next season.
