Skip Bayless reacts to Isiah Pacheco extending Chiefs' lead over Lamar Jackson's Ravens in kickoff game

Skip Bayless may be gone from Fox Sports 1, but that is not stopping him from commenting on the NFL. The former host of "Undisputed" was a keen observer in Thursday's kickoff game between defending champions Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens.

In the third quarter, running back Isiah Pacheco scored a six-yard rushing touchdown to negate a Patrick Mahomes interception to Roquan Smith and extend the Super Bowl champions' lead to 20-10. This led the veteran sportscaster to declare:

"That's it. Ravens can't come back from 10 down at Mahomes. They needed to take back control with a touchdown to end the first half."

The Ravens finally got their passing touchdown in the fourth via backup tight end Isaiah Likely, but Xavier Worthy responded for the Chiefs in the same quarter.

Skip Bayless cut off all communication with Stephen A. Smith after Shannon Sharpe drama

It has been said that Skip Bayless hates being overshadowed. When he was with ESPN, he had been a co-founder of "First Take" in 2007, only to leave for FS1 in 2016 after Stephen A. Smith joined in 2012 and eventually overshadowed him.

His new show, "Undisputed," initially starred Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe. But that partnership began to collapse in 2022 after Bayless made some unsavory remarks about Sharpe's playing career during an argument over Tom Brady.

Speaking on Hall of Fame wide receiver Cris Carter on Shawn Meaike's "Fully Loaded" podcast, Smith said:

“I’ve told Skip to his face, ‘You don’t say what you said about Troy Aikman.’ You don’t call Chris Bosh ‘Spice Bosh.’ ...And I thought he was wrong about Shannon. I thought what he did to Shannon was flagrantly wrong. And I called him, and he never reached back out.”

Around six months after the spat, Sharpe reached a buyout agreement with Fox Sports, leaving the show and the network. In September, he joined Smith on "First Take."

"Undisputed," meanwhile, continued airing until last month, albeit with a rotating cast of guests like current "Speak" hosts Keyshawn Johnson and Paul Pierce. It has since been replaced by "The Facility," which stars former football players Emmanuel Acho, James Jones, LeSean McCoy and Chase Daniel.

Bayless has promised to reveal his future plans on his podcast in the coming weeks.
