Skip Bayless prods Jerry Jones to "sabotage" Cowboys to land Deion and Shedeur Sanders in 2025 NFL draft

Jerry Jones infamously claimed that the Dallas Cowboys would be going "all-in" to win a Super Bowl ring for the 2024 NFL season. His actions haven't necessarily matched his words, as he has declined to bring in any significant upgrades to his roster. He has also yet to sign any of his superstar players to the contract extension they are seeking.

Notorious Cowboys fan Skip Bayless recently commented on the situation and speculated that the bold owner might have ulterior motives. He suggested that they may already be looking ahead to next offseason, where they can potentially make significant changes to the team's leadership structure.

Bayless explained:

"Jerry might have bigger plans. He might be hoping, as we speak, that the Cowboys can be just bad enough to get within striking distance, trading range, of Shedeur Sanders. He could go one or two or three, but I would take him at one. Is it possible that they could pull that off? And if they can pull that off, would Deion then leave Colorado to coach his son in Dallas? I'd be on it, that's a Super Bowl move.

"That's what my team needs. It's been 30 years, Jerry. No more Dak, no more 'pretty good' that turns out to be 'pretty bad' when it matters. Plunge, Jerry. Plunge. Hey, sabotage, Jerry. Sabotage."

Apparently, Skip Bayless thinks that Jones' reluctance to give any of them new contract extensions could be linked to his future plans for the franchise. The owner has made it clear that he expects more out of this team in playoffs, after consistently suffering early exits. If he has lost faith in his team leaders, maybe he feels that now is the time to go in a different direction.
