The Chiefs fans celebrated the return of cornerback Jaylen Watson ahead of the playoffs. Watson has been sidelined due to his injury since October. However, after two months, there is finally an update on his potential return to the game.

On Friday, Fox Sports NFL insider Jordan Schultz shared the news about Watson's return on X. He wrote:

"The #Chiefs are designating CB Jaylen Watson to return from IR, and he will practice today, sources tell @NFLonFOX. This is a huge boost for Kansas City, who has been without Watson since late October due to a broken fibula. He and Trent McDuffie are one of the best CB duos in the league and KC could now have him back just in time for the postseason."

Chiefs’ Jaylen Watson expects the "Best" for 2025

Watson shared a post on X on Wednesday, hinting at his potential return. He wrote:

"2024 was full of ups and downs grateful for it all 2025 will be the best of them all🎢 #seeyasoon"

On Monday, Chiefs coach Andy Reid was asked for an update on the players struggling with injuries. Reid hinted at Watson's return, saying (via SI):

"Potentially Watson. I mean, potentially. That would be stretching it. "

Now finally, as per Schultz’s report, Jaylen Watson will start with the practice session this week. Meanwhile, the Chiefs are gearing up for their match against the Denver Broncos on Sunday.
