When Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco broke his fibula in the Cincinnati Bengals Week 2 game, which the team won 26-25, Chiefs fans were heartbroken. When asked when he would return to the gridiron, HC Andy Reid gave a vague answer, saying he wasn't sure whether Pacheco would return this season or the next.

But Pacheco provided an update on Instagram on Monday regarding his recovery.

"Let's go. Let's get it," he said while walking on the treadmill.

However, fans weren't too excited about his recovery. In fact, one said that he should remain on the sidelines and not return as a starter.

"Bro needs to stay on the bench"

Another fan said that he would be demoted from the top reception target to the second favorite target courtesy of the recently signed Kareem Hunt.

"Bro bout to be WR2 when comes back"

Other fans also echoed the same thoughts and said Hunt was a better offensive weapon than Isiah Pacheco.

"Nah hell nah stay your a** in the IR! Kareem Hunt is killing it for me in fantasy!!" one fan said.
"Rather have Kareem Hunt," another fan also said.
"This seems counter productive," one fan said.
"Great to see!! Hope he’s back for the playoffs!" a fan did seem to root for him.

The Chiefs' backfield situation with Kareem Hunt and Isiah Pacheco

In the first two games that Kareem Hunt has played with the team, he recorded 41 carries. Isiah Pacheco, on the other hand, didn't match it in his two consecutive regular season games.

In last year's playoffs, however, he did record 42 total carries in the team's outing against the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC title game.

Once Pacheco is back, it's likely that the workload will be divided among the two. But with age on Pacheco's side, it seems he would remain the Chiefs' RB #1.
