Super Bowl LVII is just six days away and everyone is talking about the matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles. But there are some people who are geared up to watch the commercials as well.
There have been some iconic comercials throughout the years and one that still sticks out to viewers is the FTX Cryptocurrency commercial featuring comedian Larry David in 2022.

The commercial shows David in different eras denying people their 'great ideas'. At one point he tells Thomas Edison, that electricity isn't a good idea. He shoots down the idea of a dishwasher and in another scene, he appears to be with the Founding Fathers while discussing the voting process.
While told that people should have the right to vote, he asked 'even the stupid ones?' in which he is told yes and he yells in shock that 'stupid' people are allowed to vote.
"Stupid people vote?," Larry David said.
The commerical continues with David saying that he doesn't believe a man should go to the moon and then the commercial finishes in the present day with someone telling him about FTX Cryptocurrency. The man tells him that it's a safe and easy way to get into cryptocurrency and David denies it.
"FTX, it's a safe and easy way to get into Crypto."
Larry David: "No, I don't think so, and I'm never wrong about this stuff, never!"
The irony is that this commercial that was entitled, "Don't Be Like Larry" was actually foreshading the future of the FTX Cryptocurrency brand. In late 2022, FTX filed for bankruptcy after founder Sam Bankman-Fried was arrested for creating a Ponzi-like scheme with the cryptocurrency brand, costing investors millions of dollars.
So, perhaps Larry's character was right about this one. David is amongst the list of celebrities being sued by investors for their involvement in promoting the cryptocurrency brand.
