The Jacksonville Jaguars made Trevor Lawrence a top-three highest-paid quarterback and player in the NFL this offseason. In return, Lawrence has not proven his worth and has goe 0-3 in the first three games for the Jagaurs this season.
Last night, the Jaguars were embarassed on national television, suffering a 47-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Lawrence completed 21-of-38 passes for 178 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
Following the loss, the Jaguars, and Lawrence were highly criticized by a number of analysts, sports pages and the football community in general. On Fox Sports' The Facility, former NFL wide receiver James Jones ripped Lawrence for his play in the loss.
Jones also doesn't think he's worth the contract that the Jaguars gave him.

"I watched this dude last night miss high school throws. Dudes is running across the middle of the field. He throwing it way over their head. Like we got to stop with the excuses, we give too many of these quarterbacks excuses because they showed us a five-game stretch to where, oh man, he can play. Oh, he's like that."
Jones went on to say that Lawrence is an average quarterback in the NFL and hasn't made anyone else around him any better.
"No, if we really look at Trevor Lawrence over the last couple years, Trevor Lawrence is an average quarterback in this league. This dude is not a good NFL quarterback. He should not have been paid all that money. He makes nobody around him better.
"Lawrence makes nobody around him better. Man, he's making the team worse. And then y'all always talk about Doug Peterson, a champion, a really good coach. He making him look worse. That part, that's running me Trevor Lawrence, I'm telling you right now, Trevor Lawrence is not a franchise."
Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars have now lost eight of their last nine games
Things have not been going well down in Jacksonville. On top of getting off to an 0-3 start, the Jaguars have now lost eight of their last nine games dating back to last season.
After an 8-3 start in 2023, the Jags lost five of their last six games of the season, to finish the year 9-8 and missing the playoffs. Their bad play has continued into this season by losing their first three games.
Looking to break their four-game losing streak, Jacksonville will face 2023 AFC South champions, the Houston Texans, who sit in first place in the AFC South.
If Jacksonville's struggles continue, coach Doug Pederson could be a potential hot-seat candidate.
