Dallas Cowboys defensive starlet Micah Parsons recently made comments about Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts. In an appearance on Von Miller's podcast, Parsons was asked whether it was Hurts or the team that is responsible for the Eagles' tremendous form.
The Cowboys star said that he feels that the caliber of the Eagles squad and system is the cause, and didn't mention Hurts at all. This has divided the opinions of many. Notably, former Green Bay Packers receiver and Super Bowl winner James Jones didn't like what Parsons said.
Here's what James Jones said on 'Speak' about Micah Parsons' comments (or lack of comments) on Jalen Hurts:

"I'm freaking out because it’s foul and disrespectful. Oh my god. What else does the young fella have to do? His team is 12-1. You talk about the receivers, who is throwing them the ball?"
He continued:
"They are in the position they are in because of the quarterback position. Right? And it's disrespectful because you're saying your student at a game you saying you watch it feel Micah? Obviously not?"
Jones added:
"I'm gonna do that because when you turn the tape of Jalen Hurts, he's playing the best football of any quarterback in the National Football League right now. And that is why he is up for the MVP."
The comments from Micah Parsons must have fueled Jalen Hurts even more and everyone is excited for Christmas Eve. The Dallas Cowboys are set to face the Philadelphia Eagles on December 24th, which is going to be a phenomenal game.
If the Eagles win that game against the Cowboys, it will significantly boost the chances of Hurts being named the MVP this season.
Jalen Hurts is the frontrunner in the MVP race
Hurts is currently the frontrunner in the MVP race this season. He edged ahead of Patrick Mahomes after the Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Cincinnati Bengals and the quarterback threw three interceptions in the defeat. Hurts has been much more protective of the ball and has been responsible for fewer turnovers than Mahomes.
He has a passer rating of 108.4. He has thrown for 3,157 yards, 22 touchdowns, and three interceptions in 13 games this season. The Eagles quarterback also has 686 rushing yards with 10 rushing touchdowns to his name.
The former Oklahoma Sooners quarterback has also led the Eagles to the best record in the entire NFL and he has been a major part of their success. The race for MVP is not over yet, but Hurts certainly has the edge in Week 15.
