Taylor Swift gifts special 'handmade' present to Patrick Mahomes, wife Brittany's newborn Golden Raye - Report

Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany announced the birth of their second daughter, Golden Raye, on Sunday. Following the news, the couple received well-wishes from friends, family, fans and celebrities.

Pop star and Travis Kelce's girlfriend, Taylor Swift, made the occasion even more special for Brittany by sending her daughter a special gift. According to PageSix's report on Friday, Swift "handmade a baby blanket" for Mahomes' newborn daughter.

"Taylor’s aunt knitted her a baby blanket when she was a child so it’s always had a special meaning for her and something she wanted to do for her friends," PageSix reported.

"It’s become a tradition for Taylor, something she loves doing and something that can’t be bought. It comes from the heart."

Finding the perfect name is difficult for any parent, including Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany. The couple evaluated dozens of names before picking "Golden" for their newborn daughter. Brittany talked about picking the perfect name for her newborn in an interview with Today in December.

"My daughter wants me to name her Elsa," Brittany said. "Was set on it for a while, but, obviously, we’re not doing that. We went back and forth for a while, but the one we settled on, we really, really love."

Brittany shared her daughter Sterling and son Bronze's excitement about welcoming a new member to their family.

“All he says is ‘I want baby sissy,’ and then he’ll ask to see my stomach ... although I'm not sure if it's registered that an actual human is coming," Brittany said. “And Sterling is completely obsessed. She loves to play with babies.”

Brittany bought a customized nursery for her daughter. While the couple received dozens of best wishes, Ryan Fitzpatrick took a light-hearted jab at the couple for their family planning.
