Tee Higgins Injury Update: Latest on Bengals WR's status for Week 18 - Source: Imagn

On Saturday, the Cincinnati Bengals will travel to Acrisure Stadium to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in the final game of their regular season schedule. It's a must-win game for the visitors, whose playoff hopes hinge on them winning and putting the pressure on the Miami Dolphins and Denver Broncos.

A victory over the Steelers won't be enough for the Bengals to earn a postseason berth outright. They also have to bank on the New York Jets and Kansas City Chiefs' backup players to beat the Dolphins and Broncos, respectively.

Regardless, the result of those games wouldn't matter if Cincinnati doesn't take care of business first in Pittsburgh. The Bengals will bank on its offense to guide them to victory. Quarterback Joe Burrow will hope to have all his weapons available, especially, wide receiver Tee Higgins.

Tee Higgins Injury Update: Will WR play in Week 18 vs. Steelers?

Tee Higgins has missed five games this season due to ankle and knee injuries and there are question marks about his availability every week. He was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday and Thursday, prompting doubts about whether he'd travel with the team to Pittsburgh.

However, the wide receiver has largely been a limited participant in practice since returning from a four-week injury hiatus in Week 11. The Bengals have been managing his workload to ensure he's available to play.

He has been withheld in practice this week for the same reason and barring any last-minute hiccups, he will suit up and play against the Steelers on Saturday.

Tee Higgins Stats: How has Bengals WR fared this season?

Tee Higgins has been a force to be reckoned with in the 11 games that he's featured in. He has caught 69 catches for 858 yards and 10 touchdowns. The wide receiver had his best game of the season in the Bengals' critical Week 17 win over the Broncos.

Higgins finished the game with 11 catches on 12 targets for 131 yards and three touchdowns, including the game-winner in overtime.

He was franchise-tagged last summer and has yet to sign a contract extension. The game against the Steelers could be Higgins' swansong as a Bengal. If that proves to be the case, he'd like to go out with an incredible performance.
