Cincinnati Bengals wideout Tee Higgins has been struggling for form throughout the 2024 NFL season. This is due to several factors like injuries, stingier defenses than in the past, and competition from other pass-catchers like Andrei Iosivas, Jermaine Burton, and even tight end Mike Gesicki. But on Saturday, he delivered when it mattered the most.
Against the visiting Denver Broncos, the wide receiver had his best performance of 2024 so far, catching 11 passes for 131 yards and three touchdowns, including the walk-off TD in overtime, as the Cincinnati Bengals won 30-24 to improve to 8-8 and remain alive in the playoff race.
After the game, his mother Camilla reacted on X:
"Stop playing wit ‘em"

Higgins now has 58 catches for 727 yards and seven touchdowns for the year - still a far cry from his thousand-yard form in the Bengals' two runs to at least the AFC championship game in 2021 and 2022, but still a remarkable improvement from 2023.
Zac Taylor, Joe Burrow react to Tee Higgins' monstrous game vs. Broncos
After the game, a clearly elated Tee Higgins expressed his excitement on the overtime win against Denver.
“Hey, shoutout Bengal Nation! Man, Y’all stuck in there with us. It was a hard-fought game. Who Daey? I love you.”
Much praise went his way in the press conference - first from head coach Zac Taylor, who called his long-time WR2 “a warrior.”
“He’s fighting through a lot there and just keeps rolling out there and keeps winning these 1-on-1’s. That game-winner was a play that we talked about after one of the first couple red-zone drives… It’s just so hard. They wanna take away one of our guys, the other one’s gonna go win.”
Meanwhile, Joe Burrow lauded Higgins' heroics in overtime and praised the Bengals WR's contribution in the win.
“What a catch by Tee. Tee came out big. He was unbelievable today… Everybody can see what kind of player he is. He elevates us to a different level when he’s playing like that.”
The Bengals end their campaign at the skidding Pittsburgh Steelers. They must win that game and hope that the Broncos lost to the Kansas City Chiefs, while the Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts lose at least one of their last two. Broadcast details will be revealed at the conclusion of the current game week.
