The Houston Texans, who have been ravaged by injuries, will now be without Stefon Diggs for the remainder of the season. It was reported on Tuesday afternoon that Diggs will be sidelined with an ACL injury.
This is just the latest injury news for the Texans wide receiving core, who were favorites to be one of the top AFC teams. Nico Collins is also out with a hamstring injury which will leave Tank Dell as the top WR of the Texans offense.
Fans on X were devastated to hear about Diggs' injury. One fan referred to the news as "gut wrenching" and another sent prayers and well wishes to him during his recovery.

Other fans felt sorry for the Houston Texans and the fact that their offense hasn't had the opportunity to find consistency due to all of the injuries. One fan noted that Stefon Diggs' younger brother Trevon Diggs also suffered a season-ending ACL injury last season and how they can't seem to catch a break.
Diggs is also likely to become a free agent after the 2024 NFL season. This injury news could put his future in the NFL in question.
"This sucks man like bad, Houston just hasn’t been able to hit their stride on offense. Hope Diggs gets healthy fast," one fan said.
"Prayers for Diggs," one fan wrote.
"Back to back years for the brothers… damn man prayers up," another fan said.
The Texans are 6-2 this season even with the injuries compromising their offense. A move before next week's trade deadline may be a necessity for the team.
"Incredibly bummed for Diggs and that we'll just never see this great Texans WR trio all at full strength this year," one fan said.
"Dang that’s a tough loss," a fan commented.
"You build a team. You have the QB. You are ascending. You should be top challenger to the two-time Super Bowl champs. Collins out for extended time. Now this for Diggs. This league moves fast," another fan said.
What happened to Stefon Diggs?
Stefon Diggs was injured in the third quarter of Sunday's AFC South matchup between the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts. He planted his knee into the turf as he tried to cut while running a route to avoid Colts' cornerback Kenny Moore.
Diggs immediately knew he injured his right knee and grabbed his leg. He walked off the field on his own but didn't return to the game. The Texans pulled off a 23-20 win but will have to go the distance without one of their top WRs.
This is the third time that he has injured his right knee, as he also did in he did 2016 and in 2021. So far this season, Stefon Diggs has 42 catches for 415 yards and three receiving touchdowns. He also has 12 rushing yards and a rushing TD.
