Last year, Xavier Worthy set the all-time NFL combine record for the 40-yard dash, completing the dash in 4.21 seconds, which beat John Ross III's record of 4.22 seconds. Bond told reporters on the sidelines of the combine that he plans on reaching the 4.20 mark and that he could possibly get into the 4.1s.

Bond and Kentucky cornerback Maxwell Hairston, are the two speedsters in the draft that scouts believe have the potential to beat Worthy's time.

Bond has some big expectations to meet if he is to emulate Worthy, his fellow University of Texas alum. In his NFL rookie campaign, Worthy helped take the Kansas City Chiefs to a Super Bowl with his 59 receptions for 638 yards and six touchdowns. Worthy also rushed the football 20 times for 104 yards and three scores.

Although the Chiefs were unable to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl, Worthy proved that he is a vital part of Kansas City's offense and has the potential to be one of the league's young stars.

Isaiah Bond declared for the 2025 NFL Draft after a season in which he recorded 34 receptions for 540 yards and five touchdowns in his first and only season with the Longhorns. Bond transferred to Texas from Alabama shortly after the retirement of longtime Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban.

The five-foot-eleven, 180-pounder helped Texas reach a semifinal appearance in the College Football. They were defeated by eventual national champions, the Ohio State Buckeyes in that game.

Now, Bond will enter the NFL with hopes of becoming yet another speedster out of the Longhorns' football program to make a successful transition into the NFL. Currently, Bond is projected to be a second-day selection in the NFL draft according to most mock drafts.
