Are the NFL and Roger Goodell planning to hold a Super Bowl internationally soon? It sure seems like it.

The NFL commissioner teased the idea on Saturday at an NFL forum in London. The NFL wants to expand the sport, with games being played internationally in the U.K., Germany, Mexico and Brazil.

"We’ve always traditionally tried to play a Super Bowl in an NFL city — that was always sort of a reward for the cities that have NFL franchises. But things change. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if that happens one day,” Goodell said.

Hosting the Super Bowl outside of the United States would be different. There has never been a Super Bowl outside of the U.S. But, as Goodell said, things could change.

One of the NFL's biggest missions is to expand the sport each year. One way of doing so is spreading the availability of games played in other countries for those fans to watch in person.

However, fans weren't thrilled about the idea and expressed themselves on X, formerly Twitter.

"This is a terrible idea," one fan tweeted.
"Is he trying to be the most unlikeable commissioner in sports?" One fan tweeted.
"This would be absolutely the dumbest thing ever," a fan tweeted.

While very few replies were positive about the Super Bowl possibly being played internationally, other fans pointed out how the NFL would do this to make a few bucks.

Fans gave their opinions on Goodell and the league being greedy by doing so and potentially losing some of their American audience.

"Translation: Nashville, New Orleans, and Atlanta, time to up your bids," a fan tweeted.
"Goodell would hold the Super Bowl in North Korea if it meant an extra 5 bucks for owners," a fan tweeted.
"Anything for more money," a fan tweeted.
