Tom Brady is primarily focused on surviving the final stretch of the regular season and making the playoffs this year, but others - including one of his biggest former teammates - are considering his future. Speaking on USA Today's Sports Seriously via Sports Illustrated, former NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski appeared to turn against the tide of fans hoping for Brady to play one more season.

Here's how he put it, in an apparent attempt to entice the quarterback to join him in the media world:

“That may be the best option. He’s a free agent, he can weigh out whatever option, whatever team he wants to play for, or if he wants to go in that booth and come join me, we can be the tag team champions of the world.”

Brady has signed a 10-year deal with FOX worth $375 million, but it remains to be seen when his media stint begins.

At 6-7, the 2022 Tampa Bay Buccaneers are tied for the most losses in Brady's career in a single season. Unless he wins, the quarterback will set a new anti-record this weekend against Joe Burrows and the Cincinnati Bengals.

This time last year, Brady was just at the tip of the diving board in what is seen by many as the biggest period of instability in the quarterback's life. Since losing to the Los Angeles Rams, the quarterback has changed occupations several times.

He initially retired from the league in the shadow of a playoff defeat. The retirement, however, lasted just six weeks. That said, at the time, rumors led many to believe the quarterback came quite close to becoming a minority owner of the Miami Dolphins.

Instead, he supposedly got cold feet and returned to his team.

Many thought the quarterback was done thinking about his future, but that was before he signed the 10-year deal with FOX worth $375 million. The deal is set to begin as soon as the quarterback steps away from the game for good.

Could the upcoming month be the epilogue of the quarterback's career?
