As the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants met in Week 7 of the NFL season, the game became a bit dull in the end. The Eagles dominated the contest, winning 28-3, and not giving their rivals a chance from the very start.

Election Day is getting closer in America, and Pennsylvania is a key battleground state between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. As such, both sides are concentrating efforts to attract voters and get its electoral votes. Some strategies, though, could backfire depending on how they're employed.

On Sunday, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez used X to incentivize Democrats to "go outside" in Pennsylvania and ring homes, with Jalen Hurts playing and many of their fans at home. However, she was quickly warned that if you interrupt Philadelphia fans watching the game, it could lead to possible voters gettind mad:

"Uh….Knocking on doors during the game is a terrible idea. Wait until halftime or after it’s over (if they win)," said one fan.
"Let’s bug people on a Sunday while they’re watching the game. That should go over well," noted another fan.
"No one is answering a random door knock during the Eagles on football Sunday," a third one added.

The number of replies made Ocasio-Cortez realize that her initial tweet was a mistake. She later did a small retraction:

"OK fine not a door but maybe a textbank."

Saquon Barkley's return to New York fuels Eagles in important NFC East win

Any fan who stayed at home on Sunday to watch the game felt immense joy at the end, as Philadelphia dominated their rivals and improved to 4-2 after a much-improved performance. Although the New York Giants aren't the strongest opponents, Nick Sirianni's team displayed much more toughness, urgency and quality.

The star of the show was Saquon Barkley. Drafted by the Giants with the second overall pick of the 2018 draft, he moved to the Eagles this season after New York had refused to give him a long-term contract. He finished the revenge game with 176 rushing yards and a touchdown in 17 carries.
