The Kansas City Chiefs continued their winning streak ever since they lost to their divisional rivals, the Las Vegas Raiders, on Christmas Day last year. Sunday, in the final seconds against the Denver Broncos, it finally looked like the Chiefs' eight-game winning streak this season would come to an end. However, that was not to be.
The Broncos attempted a 35-yard field goal with one second remaining. But Leo Chenal blocked the try from Wil Lutz, a star kicker who had not missed any of his previous 18 field-goal attempts. And thus ended their dreams of beating the Chiefs at their home stadium, Arrowhead.
Fans reacted to the blocked goal on X, formerly Twitter.
