Jason Kelce has been keeping himself busy after retiring from playing in the NFL. Recently, he was part of ESPN's panel for Monday Night Football. However, he surprised Philadelphia Eagles fans by supporting the other Pennsylvania team.

He came dressed in a "Peaky Blinders" costume and even showed off a "terrible towel" that a fan gave him which apparently had been in "17 stadiums". He also performed the twirl.

When he was asked by his co-panelists why he did it since he played for the Eagles, Kelce answered:

"I'm in the moment. I'm part of Pittsburgh Nation at the stadium," Kelce said. "I mean, a "Terrible Towel" — is there anything that symbolizes NFL fandom more than this towel right here?"

However, fans did not take the Cleveland Heights native supporting the Pittsburgh Steelers lightly. One fan said that the Clevelander in him would be disappointed.

"I do not appreciate seeing @JasonKelce in a Steelers jersey, waving a terrible towel. The Clevelander in him should be ashamed. 😭"

Another fan had the same thoughts and said that a Clevelander doing the "terrible towel twirl" was "blasphemous".

"A Clevelander twirling one of those awful things is blasphemous … shame!"

Other fans joined in and expressed their disappointment with Kelce supporting a rival team.

"Yeah, that next trip to Philly is going to be fun," one fan said.
"You know his wife just changed the locks on the house 😅" another fan said.
"What a twit." one fan wrote.
"Sorry, you can tell he's not a Steelers fan because he doesn't have the wrist finesse built by decades of twirling," one fan said.

Jason Kelce claps back at fans "too tired" of seeing him on TV

Kelce has had numerous appearances on TV whether as a panelist or in commercials and some football fans have complained online that they were tired of seeing him. However, the former Eagles Center took it in stride and replied to the criticism on X.

Jason Kelce played 13 seasons in the NFL, all with the Eagles. He announced his retirement in March. He finished his career with one Super Bowl ring, six first-team All-Pro and seven Pro Bowl selections.
