The Seattle Seahawks traded quarterback Russell Wilson in the offseason in favor of starting Geno Smith. While many questioned the Seahawks' thought process, the results of the trade have fallen heavily in Seattle's favor.
In the Week 18 season finale on Sunday, Smith will look to set a franchise record for passing yards in a season. He will need just 151 passing yards to do so. But, that's not the only record that he could break on Sunday, his current completion percentage is 70.2%. If he can keep that number above 70% he will be the first Seahawks quarterback in franchise history to do so.

Seattle and NFL fans had plenty of reaction to that information. Many were happy for Geno Smith that he was finally getting the opportunity to showcase his talents. Others said that they were rejoicing in the fact that Smith, not Wilson, would hold that record.
Many shared the same opinion that Wilson wasn't a team player and instead was actually "narcissistic." Other fans expect Russell Wilson to extend a "congratulations" toward the new Seahawks quarterabck. Meanwhile, others said that Seattle clearly made out better in the trade than the Denver Broncos.
Can the Seattle Seahawks still make the playoffs?
The Seattle Seahawks will face their NFC West rival Los Angeles Rams on Sunday afternoon for the season finale. While the reigning Super Bowl champions Rams have already been eliminated from playoff contention, Seattle hasn't, and the outcome of this game is crucial.
Seattle, who is 8-8 on the season, will need to defeat the Rams, which is obvious. A 5-11 Rams team may look like an easy victory, but divisional matchups are always hard to call. This is especially true if the Rams can keep their divisional foe out of the playoffs. But they will also need some help to get the last NFC Wild Card spot. A win by the Detroit Lions over the Green Bay Packers would keep Aaron Rodgers out of the playoffs and get Seattle in.
The Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants currently have two NFC Wild Card spots locked down. The third is still up for grabs in what is sure to be a crazy Week 18 season finale on Sunday. Even if Seattle does win, they will need to wait until the conclusion of Sunday Night Football to find out if they did enough to get into the playoffs.
